Dave & Terry's 40th Anniversary

Several months ago Terry told us their 40th anniversary was falling on a Sunday this year. She told us that they decided to renew their vows during Sunday's mass and have an Anniversary reception immediately following.

The day has finally come and it was quite a day for sure. The ceremony was very nice. Dave and Terry went up along with the couples that stood up for them at their wedding. They renewed their vows and the rings were blessed again. It was very touching.

At the reception Chris played DJ and made sure to play their song; Made Me love You by Patsy Cline, and have them dance.

Later they cut the cake together and fed each other. Dave was very nice and Terry put a little dab of frosting on his nose. She was nice though and wiped it right off. All three boys gave very nice toasts talking about how Dave and Terry had set an amazing example of what a marriage should be and how they attribute what they've learned from their parents to their own successful relationships. Here are the three brothers and each of their wives. Collectively we've all been married 30 years! David and Michelle, Chris and Marcia & Patrick and Lyndsy.

The posters I made were a big hit and everyone spent some time looking at them. Terry mentioned how she still gets choked up each time she looks at them.

We all had a good laugh when Patrick and Brittany started a frosting fight. It started small, but ended big! Poor Brittany was so sticky the rest of the afternoon.

We also took the opportunity to take a family photo again. They've got two new grandchildren since the last photo was taken. They have three boys and 10 grandchildren!
