Nathan's group performed If You Give a Pig A Pancake. All the kids had on pig ears, but Nathan's fell off right before they began and I think he didn't want to use his hands to put them back on because he had a pancake on one and syrup on the other. He didn't want to give it away! Do you know what happens if you give a pig a pancake? We found out tonight. She'll want some syrup to go with it. Then they sang and danced the Piggie Polka. It was absolutely adorable. Nathan did all the moves, but was very shy on stage. One boy stole the show by dancing very animatedly. As the crowd laughed he hammed it up even more.
Here Nathan is putting his ears back on after their performance was done. He was also excited to be able to keep the Jr. SAP t-shirt he wore.
Nicholas had a difficult time sitting still during the performances. The show was held in the gymnasium, which is where they also hold Family Movie Night. Nicholas kept asking when the movie was going to start. I got a kick out of that. Then at another time he told us we wanted to go home and the guy sitting next to me got a kick out of that comment.
It's been very fun to go to school activities and see other families we know and to watch their children participate in these shows and other activities.
