Coloring

Nicholas has really started to enjoy coloring in the last month or so. He's really gotten the hang of holding a crayon and staying in the lines. We are really impressed with the work he does. One thing Nathan learned in Kindergarten was to have detail. So if he showed his teacher a drawing with only a few colors in it she'd tell him to go back and add more. So now Nicholas asks us if his drawings have a lot of detail. It's so cute. He uses lots of different colors and uses the correct colors for what he is coloring. Green for grass, for instance. It amazes me how he will sit quietly and color for a long time. He asks to color a lot and likes to show off what he's done and have us rip it out of the coloring book.

This was something funny that I saw him do tonight. He put the crayon behind his ear.
