A Day in Arizona

November 24, 2010

Margee had surgery today on her wrist today so we went over to spend a little time with her before she went in. Then we took the kids to the new Disney movie Tangled. They really seemed to enjoy that and Nathan thought the best part was when the horse, Maximus and Flynn Rider were fighting. After the movie we went to the Mall so I could go to Merle Norman. We were surprised to see that Santa was already there for visits with children. There was no line so we walked right up and the boys had a photo with Santa. Nathan sat right down on his lap, but Nicholas was extremely shy. He was clinging on my leg. We finally got him to sit next to him, then he moved onto his knee. Nathan told Santa he wanted Lego's. Nicholas told him he wanted a pillow pet and Santa was very smart and said "Well there are lots of different pillow pets, which one do you want?" Nicholas said that he wanted a penguin. These are some pictures from outside the mall.

When we left the mall the kids wanted to go home, but we wanted to make stop to get the kids pictures in front of the Hairy Cactus. We've been seeing this cactus for a couple years and wanted to revisit it. So we got a few pictures then went home.

While we were in Arizona Nicholas saw another cactus and said; "That cactus kind of looks like it has bras." Chris and I laughed hysterically because, as you can see he is right. Or at least it needs a bra!

That night we went to visit my friend Charlotte Fetsco. She has twin five-year old daughters and the boys played with them. They had so much fun and put on a play with Giddy-up horses. It was so cute and they did it over and over for us. The next day the girls were very sad to learn that Nathan and Nicholas do not live in Arizona.
