Hot Wheels Party

Nicholas had his fourth birthday party on Saturday. It's the first party we invited friends to. He told me who he wanted to invite and fortunately the number was small. I was stressed about having games and keeping things structured (more for the adults sake), but the kids had so much fun playing together. We played pin the tail on the donkey and that's always a laugh. It's the first party we've had that as soon as presents were done being opened all the toys had to be opened so they could play with them. The party ended at 4, but just about everyone stayed for at least another hour while the kids played outside. My Hewey nephews, who are all older than my boys, played football in the backyard. The ball went into our pool a couple times and when they were fishing it out they found a dead squirrel. YUCK! They kept pulling it out of the water, then it would slide off the pole back into the water and over and over. The funniest part was when Chris chucked it into the wooded area and all the kids made a b-line over to where it landed. Chris realized he better bury it so there weren't any autopsy's performed. All in all it was a fantastic birthday party and now we have to figure out what to do with all these new toys!

Guess you'll just have to bring some of those toys over to our house-Grammy & Grampy Dean.
He has such a wonderful smile and sometime the look in his eyes just melts your heart. I can't believe he is already 4.
