Indoor Soccer Time

November 1, 2010

One of the Dad’s on our fall outdoor soccer team wanted to keep the boys together over the winter on an indoor soccer team. So we played our final outdoor game on a Saturday and started indoor on the following Monday! We are the Green Dragons, but we joked that we should be called Speed because that is what Coach Proctor always says. Chris is also assistant coach this season and he is so happy to have that opportunity. It was clear after just two games that we’d get moved up to the next level in the next season – we were dominating. The boys started working on passing the ball to another player who was strategically positioned in the box and them kicking it in. They were doing awesome and at one game the referee stopped putting the goals on the scoreboard so as not to discourage the other team. They are supposed to stop after the team is 5 goals ahead, but he stopped after we were up by 9! Nathan doesn’t get to play as much each game (or so it seems) because we have so many players, but it’s so fun to watch all the boys and cheer them on especially now that I know there names. The schedule can be a little difficult to manage because of 4 and 4:30 games, but somehow we’ll make it work with the help of other parents.
