We waited until the last minute again this year to carve the pumpkins. Grammy and PaPa Hewey got the huge pumpkins for the kids while we were on the cruise. We ended up doing it Friday night or Halloween Eve.
Now that we've learned more about Nicholas and his sensory disorder we understand WHY he doesn't like the clean out the pumpkins. He doesn't like to get his hands dirty and he doesn't like the texture. He tried it once, but immediately got up and washed his hands after. Nathan had no problem helping and made sure we got every seed out of the pumpkins.
Chris does all the work, I just do the clean-up. And this year he didn't start a fire in the oven when he cooked the pumpkin seeds. We use a special pumpkin cutting kit and it's amazing how detailed the pumpkins come out.

At least you did your BEFORE Halloween...we are doing our tomorrow..because I am a horrible mother, and didn't have time before..hehe! Those are some sweet pumpkins though!!!
One day we'll carve pumpkins at our house, but for now I'll just enjoy yours!
