When we got home last night Nicholas saw the rake and decided he wanted to go out and rake leaves in our front yard. He was so cute. He'd throw the rake out in front of him and drag it back.
And after each time he'd either bang the rake against a tree to get the leaves that were stuck in it off or pick the leaves off. He wanted that rake clean after each swipe of the ground.
Nicholas was saying he wanted to have the lawn clean when Daddy came home. He said he was going to do the entire lawn. Of course that didn't last long. About 5 minutes later he said he was done becuase it was cold. Also, some neighborhood friends showed up so I think he wanted to play with them.
Later Nathan asked me to rake up a pile of leaves for him. So I went out and we started to make a pile. When we were finished he came back inside and said he was going to try to make it bigger the next day. He didn't even jump in it! Really? By the next day it'll probably be blown away!

It is so foreign to me to think it is cold out as we are having a heatwave here. How cute is that he wanted to help? I could just squeeze him!
